HMI Advantages: Preventive Maintenance

All machines need to periodic service to optimal performance and longevity. But why not let the machine itself play a role in its upkeep? HMI controls with smart technology is doing just that in stretch wrapping machines.

Another benefit seen with HMI controls is that it monitors the stretch wrapping machines’ preventive maintenance taskings, along with troubleshooting issues that may occur.

Pressing **Acknowledge** confirms the procedure was completed and resets the counter. Pressing **Snooze** delays the counter for 100 cycles before the prompt is displayed again.

Very similar to a check-engine light, or reminder indicators that it’s time to change oil on automobiles, maintenance reminders on stretch wrappers are helpful as preventive maintenance checkpoints tend to get overlooked.

HMI displays comparable diagnostic and maintenance information to help operators keep their stretch wrappers running in peak condition.
